What is Endymed FSR?

Endymed FSR is one of two advanced treatments we introduced this summer. We are proud to be the only clinic in Northern Ireland offering this treatment.

FSR (Fractional Skin Resurfacing) rejuvenates skin from the outside in. Combining Endymed’s 3DEEP radiofrequency technology with micro fractional ablation.

How does it work?

FSR delivers radiofrequency technology into the skin in 2 ways; micro resurfacing and dermal heating.

It works by penetrating heat 2.9mm into the dermis whilst gently ablating the skins surface. This triggers our skins natural healing process, producing collagen.

Deep dermal heating stimulates collagen production within the dermis which then continues to increase in the weeks following treatment. Micro fractional ablation treats the skins surface.

What does FSR help with?

  • Uneven skin tone
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Sun damage
  • Lines and Wrinkles
  • Crepey skin
  • Post inflammatory acne scarring
  • Lax skin

What areas can be treated?

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Eyes
  • Décolleté
  • Back of hands

What happens during the treatment?

To make your treatment more comfortable skin numbing cream is applied. Your Skin Practitioner will then prepare your skin for treatment by gridding your face to ensure precise delivery.

The treatment itself consists of tiny pulses of radiofrequency energy to aid skin’s natural healing process. After the treatment we apply a cooling mask, followed by soothing aftercare products and SPF50.

How long does treatment take?

Treatments take between 30-60 minutes depending on the treatment area.

How many treatments do I need?

We advise a course of 3 sessions, spaced 4 weeks apart.

When will I see results?

Full results can be seen 3 months after your last treatment, this is because collagen needs time to produce after each treatment.

Does it hurt?

You may feel a mild discomfort throughout the treatment, we apply numbing cream prior to treatment to reduce this.

How will my skin feel after?

As we are applying heat deep within the dermis, your skin may feel warm for a few hours after. A few days after the treatment your skin’s surface may feel slightly dry and rough due to the ablative effect.

How will my skin look after treatment?

Your skin will be red after treatment and a few days after ‘micro crusting’ may appear due to the skin resurfacing.

How do I care for my skin after the treatment?

We will supply you with soothing aftercare and SPF to keep your skin protected throughout your course of treatments.

Avoid acid based products, exfoliants and retinol for 1 week or longer it micro crusting is still present.

Any other aftercare?

  • Avoid sun exposure and keep skin protected with SPF50 throughout your course of treatments
  • Avoid exercise for 24-48 hours
  • Avoid heat treatments for 48 hours

How can I fit this treatment around others?

LED can be carried out immediately after your treatment to aid skin healing. We advise you wait 4 weeks before other treatment including Laser and Skin Peels.
