How to Maximise Your Results
- Make-up should not be worn for 12 hours after treatment
- You are advised to avoid alcohol and vigorous exercise for 4-5 days after treatment
- Avoid sunbathing, and extremes of heat or cold for 14 days post treatmen
- It is advisable to avoid anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen & alcohol for 12-48 hours after treatment

Microneedling is a form of Collagen Induction Therapy using very fine short needles to stimulate the skin’s natural rejuvenation process.
At Beyond Skin Clinic we use Dermapen 4 ™ microneedling devices to deliver the ultimate in advanced microneedling treatments. They can create an impressive 1,920 microchannels per second and are up to 104% faster than any other microneedling device on the market.
Microneedling treatments are suitable for all skin types I – VI
Microneedling is effective to reduce the appearance of
- fine lines
- acne scars
- pigmentation
- stretch marks
Treatments are also used to improve texture & tone and restore vitality to tired skin.
After your skin has been cleansed numbing cream is applied to the area and left to work for approx. 30 mins.
Your practitioner will then attach a sterile single-use needle head to the mirconeedling pen and select the appropriate depth for the area to be treated.
The depth of needles can be adjusted throughout the treatment for different areas and serums will be applied to the skin specific to your skin concern.
Following treatment skin will be pink/red for 24-48 hours and should be kept away from sources of heat and sunlight.
Depending on why you are having treatment it may take between 3-6 sessions to achieve the desired result.
However you will notice a difference in your overall complexion and skin condition after just one session.
